classic elegance: metropolitan club,
new york city

Rachel and Joel dreamed of an elegant affair that evoked the best of Old New York romance. With the spirit of drinking champagne and dancing on the tables, we pulled together the details of their Great Gatsby-esque affair at the famed Metropolitan Club: from a grand lobby entrance that welcomed guests and later served as the focal point for the big introduction and cocktail hour to the gilded ballroom for dinner and dancing.  PHOTOGRAPHy: Michael Falco for Christian Oth Studio

modern feast: metropolitan gallery, chelsea

Whitney and Ryan are a modern couple: she's a little bit city, he's a bit country and they meet at chic--and fun! We married their love of a sleek, modern aesthetic and bold, fresh colors with an elegant evening clad in draping, chandeliers and living green walls. And, the trademark of the evening: a suite of musical surprises that kicked off with a flash mob gospel recessional and kicked dancing into high gear with a STOMP troupe that accompanied the band! PHOTOGRAPHY: Michael Falco for Christian Oth Studio

brooklyn garden:
liberty warehouse, red hook

Laura and Guerin's Red Hook wedding was everything Brooklyn is today: fresh and chic with a whole lot of edge. For the stylish marketing exec and her equally fashionable pro-drummer groom, we pulled together an industrial garden affair--complete with moss, antiques like a wrought-iron bike overflowing with florals and, perfect for the seaside, roaming oyster schuckers to entertain the guests. We capped off the night with a Coolhaus truck and impromptu family performances! PHOTOGRAPHY: Brookelyn Photography

new york glamour:
the pierre hotel,
upper east side

Adventure-lovers by day and emergency room physicians by night, for Jessica and Jay there was no better way to handle an wedding planning emergency when their original wedding venue unexpectedly closed but to move on up to the East Side! To bring their love of Old New York glamour to life, there was no other venue more perfect for this duo than majestic The Pierre - A Taj Hotel. From a first sighting orchestrated on the steps of Lincoln Center (the site of their first date) to a stroll through Central Park to a dramatically beautiful ceremony with a grand orchestra the love was effusive and hard to resist. The reception was raucous, fun and simply fabulous in the ballroom--with a Whistlepig Whiskey bar and an elaborate meal, capped off by a towering cake with a gilded bow. The late night surprise: fragels (cinnamon-sugared fried bagels, a favorite of the groom) and poutin (late night disco fries famous in the bride's native French Canada). The highlight of the evening was the couple's EPIC horah! PHOTOGRAPHY: Michael Falco for Christian Oth Studio

nautical brooklyn: liberty warehouse, red hook

For their long-awaited nuptials (they'd finally make it official after 17 years!), Jerry and Scott came to us with the challenge of bringing inspiration from Ogunquit, Maine to the New York Harbor. Brooklyn's Red Hook district with it's seaside venue Liberty Warehouse offered the perfect canvas to bring New England chic closer to home: lanterns, coral and succelents set on raffia runners by Prudence with marquee lights suspended from above. Escort display of 20 vintage oars. And their love of food to life with roaming oyster schuckers and farm tables set with a family-style menu of gazpacho, lobster rolls, filet with onion rings and a whoopie pie tower. With music taking centerstage: from the live recessional of "I'm on top of the World" by Imagine Dragons to a new-age and pop inspired playlist by The Elements and a surprise New Orlean's style late night jam, guests were on their feet from the start to the finish! luxe on the farm:
blue hill at stone barns, westchester

For Lori and David, food is truly the way to their hearts. Chef Dan Barber's Blue Hill at the Stone Barn Agricultural Center in Pocantico Hills, New York served as the idyllic setting for a five-star farm affair. Featuring a color palette of beet, sage and fig, the wedding details included hand-drawn elements from a boxed invitation branded on wood to an elaborate seed-packet escort card display in an antique trough to a five-course tasting menu set on farm tables featuring rustic antiques sourced throughout the Hudson Valley. camp wedding:
lake bryn mawr, pa.

"1-2-3-4, we declare color war; 5-6-7-8, Don't forget to save the date!" For a relaxed Labor Day Weekend wedding, Caren and Greg came to Chandelier Events & the event design house Hatch Creative Studio with a vision of hosting friends and family for a four days of relaxed fun at Lake Bryn Mawr Camp in Hawley, PA. From bunking up to taking over the inns in a nearby town, to hosting an itinerary of fun from ropes courses and pick-up soccer to a rehearsal dinner BBQ set beneath the apple orchards followed by a talent show toasting session in the ampitheater to a lakeside ceremony and full-on fabulous reception. We even hosted a full-blown color war and late night bonfires with s'mores and grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwiches--we are counting the days to their anniversary...and reunion?! upper west winter: american museum of natural history,
upper west side

Julie and Jonathan were thrilled by the idea of wedding in an iconic New York venue with winter love in the cold crisp air. We transformed the Powerhouse at the American Museum of Natural History on Manhattan's Upper West Side into a modern solstice affair with branches, orchids and crystallized details on the tables. The natural wonders of the museum served as the perfect background for the evening. Photographs: Josh Strauss Studios
